Graphics Editor Features

GIMP is free software. This bitmap (partially vector) graphics editor is distributed under the GNU GPL. Such a license gives the right to use the program for any purpose (including commercial). The editor can:

• Retouch and create images
• automate the performance of multiple actions;
• convert graphics to various formats;
• use layers, masks, blending algorithms.

Using languages: Python, Ruby, Perl, C #, Java, experts and amateurs write scripts for the editor; images are generated, for example, for web pages via CGI modules.
